Teaching History

I graduated from the University of Oregon in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry. I continued my education and earned a Masters degree in Secondary Education in 1999. I have been teaching math and science for the past nineteen years both in the states and overseas. I taught middle school math and science for many years and most recently have been teaching high school science. I have taught every level of middle school math and science as well as IB DP Chemistry, IB DP ES&S, and general integrated high school science classes.

I started my teaching career in Eugene, Oregon where I taught in the public schools for 7 years. My family then moved overseas and have been teaching around the world for the past 12 years. Since leaving the states I have taught in Paraguay, China, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Bangladesh. I have recently moved back home to Eugene and am excited to have some more adventures in Oregon and the United States. This year I will be teaching 8th grade math and science. I am looking forward to meeting all my new students and families and working with you this year!

How Do I Spend My Spare Time?

I spend most of my spare time with my friends and family. I enjoy being outdoors and basically doing anything active. I love to ride my bikes or go for long walks to explore new places. This summer I spent a lot of time in my garden, paddle boarding on lakes around Oregon, and going on hikes. I also love crafts, learning new things on the computer, and reading. I have two daughters, Zea and Kyla who both graduated from the U of O this summer. One of the things that I am most proud of is that my entire family skateboards. My girls are much better than I am but I still get on a board and pull old style tricks.

Yes, Mrs. Page still tries to skate.
